Our Director

Dr. Chantae D. Pittman is the proud director of 3 choral ensembles at Campbell High School. She is in her 13th year of teaching and her 4th at CHS. 

Dr. Pittman has been involved in various forms of Fine Arts since she was a small child. Growing up she participated in choirs, band, dance groups, as well as participating in the drama club. She was highly active in her high school Performing Arts program graduating from Lovejoy High School in 2006 with a Fine Arts Seal of Distinction.

 

She then went on to pursue her Bachelor's degree at Tennessee State University where she graduated Cum Laude in 2010, and then her Master's Degree in 2013 from VanderCook College of Music. Dr. Pittman most recently completed her Doctoral degree in Music Education from the University of Georgia on May 2021.  GO DAWGS!!

Dr. Pittman continues to perform at the professional level through various solo efforts as well as with the Atlanta Women's Chorus as well as the Atlanta Symphony Chorus where she has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York and the Kennedy Center in Washington DC.

 

 

The Campbell High School chorus is under the direction of Dr. Pittman. Current chorus offerings at CHS include, Bella Voce (Treble Choir) - soprano/alto chorus, Brothers of Sparta (Tenor/Bass Choir) , CHS Select - the advanced level soprano/alto chorus, CHS Chamber Singers - the advanced level SATB Mixed Chorus
 
The students are a very talented and hardworking bunch who strive for musical excellence, and academic excellence as well. You are welcomed to come and hear a performance from the CHS Chorus program throughout the year.

Chorus Documents are housed online. Any documents given to the students will also be uploaded to the folder for easy access. 

The chorus fee for the full year is $100 (new members), $50 (returning members) and includes the chorus shirt for this year, music purchases, accompaniments/rehearsal tracks, competition registration, and guest conductors/clinicians. New member fees also include the concert formal uniform dress or dress pants/shirt.

We are using a formal concert uniform this year. Please see the uniform page for more details. Students have the opportunity to purchase their own formal concert uniform.
 
Dues and uniform payments can be made by cash, check (made payable to Campbell High School), or paid electronically through mypaymentsplus.com. Payments or arrangements should be made by 8/31. All students are encouraged to participate in the program. We will be fundraising throughout the year with our first fundraiser starting in September.
